About SALIERI

Many of the concepts underlying the SALIERI System and Language originate from a course project of Holger H. Hoos and Thomas Helbich in 1992/93 at the Formal Language and Automata Theory Group, Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. 1994, the SALIERI Project on the Characterization of Algorithmic Aspects in Music was initiated; since then various prototypes of the SALIERI System have been used as the principal tool for research and educational purposes within this project. Since 1996, sic!systems (Salieri Interactive Computing Inc.) is responsible for the professional development and distribution of the SALIERI System and its commercial applications.
